Product Description
Heavy fighters were twice as big as regular fighters or shuttles. They could fit into existing shuttle bays but took two normal “parking” places, so a squadron of these is six fighters not twelve. The Klingons loaded the Zerhon with weapons, including two disruptors (each able to fire twice), four standard type-I drones, two special drone rails that could carry regular type-I drones or the larger multi-warhead drones used for anti-fighter or anti-drone work or other special drones , its own electronic warfare system, and two wingtip rails for type-VI anti-fighter drones for self-defense. The Z-H was designed to attack large targets (warships, bases, convoys) where it could use its firepower to the fullest. Zerhons were too sluggish to dogfight effectively and sometimes had to be escorted by standard Z-V or Z-Y fighters when enemy fighters were likely to intercept them. That said, Zerhons were sometimes used to defend a fleet from large fighter attacks.
This comb of fighters is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
