O-Scale 1:48 P-9 Ballast/Phosphate Hopper w/ Top

This is an O-Scale 1:48 version of the P-9 hopper. This car includes the roof which will be printed on spruces.

Seaboard Coast Line converted many old phosphate hoppers into ballast service cars by removing the roofs. These cars were converted from both Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Air Line cars. You will need trucks, couplers, and brake wheel of your choice.This car can also be painted in Seaboard Air Line and where it was used in phosphate service.

Later in life many of these cars were convereted to MOW service hauling rock and ballast all around the system.
