ACL_Emerson_Shops @westpointroute. Yes, you can use the truck and coupler of your choice. Drilling them with a standard 2-56 drill and tap is no problem just be mindful of how deep you have drilled so not to drill through the floor. I used 3/16 length screw for trucks and have not had any problems
ACL_Emerson_Shops Built for the SEABOARD by Thrall, these cars were used by several other Southeastern roads. The cars lasted into the 1990's carrying shortwood pulpwood and then some were converted to long pole and log cars by adding vertical post and a bottom beam across the car

ACL_Emerson_Shops Built for SAL by Magor in 2 lots, these cars lasted well into the 1990;s after the short log need was over and were futted wutg outside vertical braces fir hauling mill length logs 12-0, 14-0 16-0 and even tree length logs. Some were repainted into SBD and CSX, others were just patched for the next owner.
