Product Description
This is not a historical representation of the obscure jackal goddess Anupet (who is typically regarded as little more than the "female aspect of Anubis” - though there is much more to her than that!), but it is a historically informed one. When representing the Cynopolite nome, she appears as a jackal with a feather of ma'at coming up from her back. Other representations show her as a protective jackal-headed goddess brandishing knifes. This is a merging of those two representations. Here she is a jackal-headed goddess with the feather of ma'at upon her head and a protective knife in her hand, ready to butcher the enemies of Osiris.
