Altair - Pendant - West Coast Witch

When practicing Wicca, one of the most integral parts of an effective lifestyle is respecting the natural world: the turn of the seasons, the celestial dance, and our local environment.  This line features designs for those wanting to celebrate the flora and fauna of the Pacific West Coast, and perhaps imbibe some of their medicines.

Named for the brightest star in the Aquila constellation (and twelfth brightest in the night sky), this sea star pendant is an organically shaped pentacle, its limbs making up the traditional five points. It’s one of the three stars in the Summer Triangle.  In Arabic, it’s an abbreviation of a phrase meaning “the flying eagle.”  This is a natural, West Coast take on a powerful protective symbol, and also a stellar statement in silver.
