Mikill Bjorn, or Great Bear, is a talisman of Norse protection and mystery. Shaped like a bear claw adorned with sculptural designs, it has a rounded reservoir at the top, below the bale. Across the curve of the claw, Mikill Bjorn is spelled out in runes, and on the back you'll find the symbol of the Aegishjalmur (the Helm of Awe and Terror), which was a defensive symbol for Norse warriors.
