Product Description
- Town-class light cruiser; subgroup lead ship; characterized by flush forward superstructure face (vs. the rounded Gloucesters/Edinburghs) and absence of director on the aft structure.
- took part in Norwegian campaigns, anti-invasion patrols, and in the Battle of Spartivento.
- crippled by the Luftwaffe on 11 Jan 1941 near Malta while escorting a convoy, scuttled afterwards by accompanying ships Gloucester and Orion.
