Leopard 1 and 2 Loaders Hatch Spring

These springs are the missing detail on all Italeri/Revell Leopard 1 & Leopard 2 kits (bar the most recent “early” Leo 1), and help make the turret roof look realistic.  There are two different Loader’s hatch springs – “open” and “closed”.  Start by shaving off the kit details for the mechanism, and add the spring of choice.  (See pictures.)

Tip – wash everything gently in warm soapy water and rinse before using.  Sometimes parts still have a little oil or wax adhering that needs to be removed before paint will stick properly.
