TF Armada Tidal wave Leg Upgrade (A Parts)

Give your Armada/Energon Tidal Wave a big upgrade in articulation.  These parts will replace the Purple Upper legs to Tidal Wave. This is part of an upgrade that will give thigh swivel and knee bend to Tidal Wave.  The A parts will form the lower part of the Knee.  The B Parts will form the Upper Thigh and Hips.  When installed properly, you will get 360 degree thigh swivel and 90 degree knee bend.

This A parts set includes

• 2 Parts for the Bottom Front of the Knee
• 2 parts for the Bottom Back of the knee

This is an advanced upgrade.  Please read through all the steps first before purchasing.

To complete the Upgrade, you will need to buy 2 products,  Tidal Wave Leg Upgrade (A Parts) and Tidal Wave Leg Upgrade (B Parts).

The completed upgrade works with transformation, but I recommend handling with care.

Installation:

1. Transform the Landing Craft section to the robot mode legs.
2. Unscrew the Tidalwave's Lower Leg sections  (5 Screws Per lower leg section.  You will need to reuse these screws later)
3. Remove the back of the lower leg section to gain access to the bottom of the Upper leg.
4. Unscrew the Upper Leg Section (2 Screws per upper leg.  You will need to reuse these screws later)
5. Separate the Upper Leg section and remove it from the lower leg and Hip Section.  (You will not need to use any springs or ABS ratchet joint teeth for the upgrade)
6. Assemble A Parts: Reuse the ABS Plastic joint from the  Leg and install to the replacement parts (Part A).  You can make 2 new connections the lower legs.  Assemble using gentle even pressure.
7. Install assembled A Parts to lower legs and close.   (Make sure you use the correct ABS Joint; they are specific to each leg).  This Assembly is meant to be tight so the legs do not cave in when standing.
8. OPTIONAL.  To get the full 90 Degree bend from the Knee joint you will need to cut out some of the back lower leg for clearance.  Cut out a rectagle ~20.5mm x ~7mm for the 90 Degree knee bend.  Without cutting you can achieve ~45 degree Knee bend.
9. Reinstall the back of the lower leg.
10. Install the New Hip section (B Parts) on to the Hip joint.  This will form a friction joint on the original hip section.  The New hip parts will form a Peg that will be inserted into the upper leg.
11. Install the new upper leg (B Parts) onto the Knee Joint (A Parts).  Install the upper leg parts so the screws face inwward.  Assemble using gentle even pressure.  The new Upper leg will have a port for connecting to the new hip joint.  This Assembly is meant to be tight so the knees do not buckle when standing.
12. Install the new hip joint into the new upper leg.

These parts are connected.  You will need to separate them and trim off excess plastic with a hobby knife or plastic cutters.  I highly recommend test fitting parts and prior to installation.

This is intended for adult figure collectors.  This is not designed for rough play by children.

This has been tested on my home printer and printed in PLA Plastic.  When fitting the parts, press firmly and evenly.  Depending on the plastic you choose, sanding or polish may be needed to fine tune the fit.
