Product Description
The uniquely elegant pendant Gaia-50 conveys harmony and perfection. Gaia-50 arranges 50 cells on a perfect sphere. This makes it also an ideal gift for a 50th birthday or for a golden wedding - in the latter case preferably in gold! Chemists love our Gaia beads for their similarity to fullerenes. To biologists they appeal as radiolarians like first described by Ernst Haeckel or as pollen. Due to their earth-like and organic form, the beads take their name from the greek goddess Gaia - mother earth and mother of all life.
The mysterious arrangement of the cells does not follow any perceptible order. The size of the cells varies smoothly between two opposite sides of the sphere. Still all cells are nicely rounded and all sprues are of the same width. Indeed Gaia-50 features a rare and arcane symmetry. Inspect Gaia-50 with the 3D-viewer! Can you recognize its hidden perfect symmetry?
Gaia beads can be worn as pendant on a ringlike necklace or on a cord of leather, silk, or silicon. A necklace - and its clasp - can have a diameter of more than three mm and will still fit across Gaia-50. A cord is best pulled through two cells close to each other.
Gaia-50 looks great in gold, all silvers and polished bronze.
