The Farpoint Station from the TNG Pilot "Encounter at Farpoint", was actually a space born creature, that can take any form. When the Bandi forced one to become Farpoint Station, another one came to rescue his friend in it's armoured form. In the Star Trek Titan novel "Orion's Hounds" they are called "Star-Jellies". There, a race called Pa'haquel hunts them and uses their dead bodies in the armoured form as some sort of spaceships, which they call "Skymounts". ex-astris-scientia.org estimates a diameter of about 1.5km and i used this size for my old model. But when you look at the scene where this creature and the Enterprise meet in space, the creature is clearly more in diameter than only double the length of the Galaxy Class. The line about it being twelve times the volume of the Enterprise doesn't help here, because for this, the creature must be only about 800m in diameter, and it is clearly not that small. When the station transformed into the creature they both had about the same diameter. The size of these beings are highly conjectural anyway. Because these are lifeforms, i believe there could be others with different sizes too.
