Set includes 4 turntables and 4 carriage slides.
This product represents the baseplates, turntables and forward carriage slides of the US Navy's Mk.18 torpedo tubes fit to PT boats in the early years of World War Two. During 1943, Mk.13 aerial torpedoes were seen as more reliable and predictable than the earlier Bliss-Leavitt Mk.8 torpedoes carried by many US Navy PT boats. To launch the new Mk.13 torpedoes, torpedo tubes were removed from PT boats in favor of roll-off racks. Often, the baseplates for the turntables and forward slides of the former Mk.18 torpedo tubes remained fixed to the deck after the roll-off racks were installed. It has been suggested that on occasion, the turntables and slides also remained fixed to the baseplates, at least for a time. A good reference for PT boats can be found on NavSource (click here).
If you are purchasing the Mk.18 torpedo tubes (available separately), do NOT purchase this product. Turntables and carriage slides are included with the torpedo tubes.
This product is NOT recommended for radio control models. "Frosted Detail" acrylic plastic is relatively brittle and may be too fragile for R/C.
This model kit is not a 3D-printed copy of any plastic model kit's parts. It is designed from actual builders blueprints. Therefore, it may not be the same size or shape of your plastic kit's parts. Some adjustment of the plastic kit's parts may be needed for best fit.

Assembly instructions:
- separate the turntable baseplates from each other by removing their attachment sprue
- position the flat side of the turntable bases outboard at the edge of the deck (the rounded side goes inboard).
- separate the forward slide baseplates from each other by removing their attachment sprue
- the forward slides have a small training gear (a rounded boxy structure) located on one corner. Position the slides so that the training gear is on the inboard, forward corner of the slide.
- position the outboard edge of the slides against the deck edge.
