This is a Hammond B box drop in insert. Because the insert is a 3 x 18650 it can house both the chip and the dome style up/down wattage control buttons on the cover plate, the plate is then attached to the insert via #2-28-4mm screws to secure it down. You have clearance for a 16mm switch but a 12mm is recommended.
