This model is based on one of two very similar study models built by Ed Miarecki for the Nebula Class. The other model was later damaged and appeared as wreck in the graveyard scene of "Best of Both Worlds". This one first appeared in it's original configuration (Prototype #1) with two additional small nacelles as a desktop model in Rikers quarter in "Future Imperfect". It was later changed to this configuration with a standard Nebula pod (triangle) to appear as a model in Sisko's office during the run of DS9.
