Rock Island 2500 Suburban Coach Interior HO Scale

This interior is specifically designed to fit inside an existing design for these cars offered by another Shapeways shop.  Most of these cars were still in revenue service through the late 1970s due to the lack of enough bi-level equipment to cover all rush hour trains, until the RTA purchased more new equipment.  The seating arrangement is prototypically correct, except for those few cars which were thru-hole restroom equipped.  While all seats in this model are stationary, in the prototype they were of the flip-over type.  The flip-over handles are visible on the individual seats in the HO scale model.
