Product Description
Built in the middle years of the General War, the Tribune-D was a heavy fighter with a crew of four (pilot, copilot, navigator/defensive systems, plasma torpedo officer). It carried six plasma-D plasma torpedoes in stasis canisters, which were very effective against enemy fighters and at least marginally useful against enemy ships. (They had half of the warhead of the Plasma-F which was the smallest regular ship-mounted torpedo tube.) While sluggish in a dogfight and (contrary to myth) lacking a cloaking device, their major weapons load was intended to destroy enemy fighters at a distance. In a pinch, they could be used for fleet defense against the massive waves of drones launched by Federation ships and fighters. The plasma-D canisters could carry the smaller anti-fighter plasma-K which was a deadly anti-drone weapon and enough to cripple enemy fighters; these smaller weapons took less energy for the carrier to reload.
The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
