Home and Distant Signal 27 Ft Post - Fine Detail H

This is a NSWGR 2 signal arm 27 foot high signal printed in Smooth Fine Detail Plastic (previously called Frosted Ultra Detail - FUD) that shows fine detail such as bolt heads, thinner components, etc. A set of detail parts containing a 39 inch signal arm and a Distant signal arm plus other details such as finial (Finial - officially known by NSWGR as a Pinnacle), lamp tops, lamp 'backlight blinds', cast ladder base and counterweight levers is included with this signal. A spare part for the counterweight lever is also included.

Of course this signal post may also be used with other signal arms of the range.

To complete this signal a mechanism needs to be purchased and glued underneath the signal. A suitable Signals Branch shop mechanism is the 'Signal Mech Short Single HO' which can be found in the 'LQ Signal Detail Parts' section of the shop.

A ladder is needed for this signal and a sprue of two 21 foot ladders printed in Smooth Fine Detail Plastic (previously called Frosted Ultra Detail - FUD) acrylic material is available from the 'LQ Signal Detail Parts' section of this Signals Branch Shapeways Shop. Also required are some 0.015" phosphor bronze wire for operating rods, handrails and several small screws.

If you wish you could instead purchase an etched brass ladder.

1 x 3mm I.D. washer

4 x 2-56 12mm screws (either Kadee #1709 1/2" stainless screws- preferred or #256 1/2" nylon plastic screws - come in KD5 coupler packets)
