Product Description
The Lockheed Compact Fusion Reactor—announced in 2013, and currently under development by a team at the company's Skunk Works. Intended to utilize an accelerated design cycle, and produce a fusion power plant small enough to be transported assembled.
This model, based off of official company releases, patent drawings, and photos of experimental devices, represents the conceived prototype (not yet built), which would measure roughly seven by ten feet, produce 100 MW (th) of power, and weigh under 100 tons. A mass production version is projected to be about three times larger, and proportionally more powerful.
Available in two model scales, AND two model train scales, for people who want a unique flatcar cargo...or the core of a modular mobile fusion power plant, energy depot, or a fusion-powered locomotive. "Starlight Express...To Peoria, By Atom!"
