Product Description
The Klingon Deep Space Fleet commissioned a special study to determine if the D7 battlecruiser class could be made more efficient by the introduction of new technology, such as anti-drones. Of the various proposals, the one from the Kozenko Design Bureau (known by their designation KDB-1104) was the most interesting and the most radical. The Aztek panels on the outer surfaces represent efforts to reduce the electronic signature of the D5K and match it to the D5B so the enemy could not tell the difference.
Typical of war cruisers, the D5K had 90% of the firepower of a D7 for 62% of the cost. War cruisers were, across the Alpha Octant, light cruisers with the armament of heavy cruisers, something possible only because no one expected them to survive in combat for their nominal 10-year service life to expire. These became the most-produced cruisers of the General War.
The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
