Tatra T2R overview

Despite the short production life of the Tatra T2, its durability allowed it to have a relatively long work life. In the 1970s and 1980s, some T2 trams were modernized with electric components and a few design elements from the succeeding Tatra T3.

At first glance, the T2R can be distinguished from the T2 by its "T3-like" two headlights instead of the central headlight of the original T2. This modernization was successful and helped the trams remain in service until the late 1990s.

These trams were used mainly in Czech cities Brno, Liberec and Ostrava.

This model contains TT scale body of Tatra T2R tram.
