These are menuki  for your katana,  Wakizashi, Tachi, tanto, or any blade.   They are the cross of Jesus Christ, representing the gospel that he died for our sins to make away for us into relationship with God, through his mercy and sacrifice so that we can be forgiven By God for our human sin and sins.

Look at how you grip your weapon, with your left hand or your right hand forward, depending if you are left or right handed, and place them underneath each hand so that it fills in the grip in the hollow of your palm. Put ot under the hollow of your palm when wrapping your tsuka.

 These Menuki represent gospel Christian faith, believing everything that’s in the 66 books of the holy Bible,  Believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ, God himself, died on the cross to save us from our sins because we deserve to be punished but He chose to pay the price instead. He was buried and He came back to life three days later. He taught us many things,  He was seen by many people, and He’s up in heaven right now  preparing for the day when he will return and ressurect His people.

I wanted to have menuki that honor Jesus Instead of some dragon or some Buddha or some other idol or some creepy image, if you really want a Menuki in your katana, you can use the cross of Jesus Christ.

And that is a safe pure and clean thing to choose.  If you are right handed then put the right handed one near the top of the hilt, where it will sit directly in your right palm, and left side one towards the bottom where it will sit directly under your left palm.

 If you are left-handed, then do the reverse: place the left-handed Menuki towards the top of your grip where it will sit directly under your left palm, and place the right handed my new key towards the bottom of the hilt, where it will sit directly under your right palm.
