Wesir / Osiris amulet

The ancient Egyptian god Wesir (more commonly known as "Osiris") is a sort of template for the successful completion of mummification and the various other rites and ritual needed to be reborn in the Afterlife. All ancient Egyptians, upon their death became a "Wesir," and partook of this god's promise of renewal and the overcoming of death. He represents the Ancient Egyptian concept of "salvation" (as differs in significant ways from the Biblical variety.)
