3788 Scale Frax War Drone Destroyer (DWD) MGL

The Frax are a simulator empire used to train officers of the Klingon Deep Space Fleet to handle unexpected enemies. Based on old wet-navy concepts, the weapons are disposed in turrets with Forward eXpanded and Rear eXpanded firing arcs (hence the name “Frax”).

Sometimes called a Drone-Armed War Destroyer, the War Drone Destroyer is basically a war destroyer with the disruptors replaced by extra missile racks. This Frax ship was not a particularly good or bad example of a drone-armed destroyer. Unlikely to accomplish much as a drone bombardment platform due to the lack of long-range targeting sensors, the ship was mostly used as a fleet anti-drone defense ship. Against an enemy without drones or fighters, this ship had a useful offensive punch.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
