Signal Box Door HO - Southern Rail Models

This is a standard Signal box door designed to replace the door on the Southern Rail Models concrete panelled signal box.

The timber plank door of the Southern Rails Model signal box is not the standard type but it may have been modelled after a particular signal box.

The timber plank door must be carefully cut from the signal box and the door opening cleaned up with a file to fit the new door.

The lip on the left-hand side at the rear is to hold the door at the correct depth in the door opening.

The rear of the 3D-printed door may have some print lines which will need to be scraped flat in the glass area. If deemed necessary, a coat of clear gloss paint could be applied to the glass on the front and rear of the door, this will make the glass area reasonably clear.

Paint the door to suit the particular colour scheme of the signal box you are modelling.

Note that this door is not the correct size for a dimensionally correct HO signal box.
