3125 Scale Romulan FlameHawk Mauler MGL

This ship was designed to provide the Romulans with a heavy-cruiser-sized mauler after the end of Falcon mauler production. (Production of KRM maulers depended on the delivery of more Klingon D6 cruisers.) This new mauler was designated FireHawk-F, but the nickname FlameHawk became more popular. The FlameHawk is, like the SparrowHawk-F Mauler Cruiser, a permanent conversion. While using the production line of the FireHawk saved time and money, conversion to a mauler meant eliminating the ability of the ship to swap modules and thereby change missions. As with all other maulers, the massive batteries can be used for other purposes; they are not restricted to the mauler. This made maulers good for such missions as breaching minefields and capturing enemy ships by tractor beam. The FlameHawk mauler is subject to shock when firing the mauler. This ship includes a cloaking device and can carry a nuclear space mine. Known names include Screaming Spirit and Screaming Death.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. (Smooth Fine Detail Plastic makes an excellent cloaked ship!) Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
