Product Description
These clearance posts with lamps are to be mounted in a 3mm hole drilled through the baseboard at the clearance location of a set of points (turnouts).
On the NSWGR the post and lamp were painted white, paint the lens silver or leave the lens clear if printing in the Smooth Fine Detail Plastic (previously called Frosted Ultra Detail - FUD) material.
The posts can be printed in White Natural Versatile Plastic (previously called White Strong and Flexible - WSF) which will take a knock, e.g. during track cleaning. Note that WSF is not as detailed as the Smooth Fine Detail Plastic (previously called Frosted Ultra Detail - FUD) material.
If printed in the Smooth Fine Detail Plastic (previously called Frosted Ultra Detail - FUD) material they can be made to transmit the light from a 3mm golden white LED placed into the 3mm mounting hole from below the baseboard by coating the lamp lens and the bottom of the post in the baseboard with clear gloss lacquer or ACC Super Glue. Doing this removes the frosted look and internally the plastic is clear.
If printed in Smooth Fine Detail Plastic (previously called Frosted Ultra Detail - FUD) material they may break if knocked hard, if so then just pull them out and replace them with a new one.
