Product Description
Based on a photograph of a Victorian wrought iron fence in Port Lincoln, Australia, this fence is typical of simple rivetted wrought iron fence panels found around the world in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Each panel is 8 feet long in 1:32 scale or 6 feet long in 1:24 scale and includes a single post at one end. The panels are designed to connect together end-to-end to provide a finished fence. In 1:32 the finished fence stands just over 50" tall once installed with 1.5" wide bars. In 1:24 the finished fence stands just over 37.5" tall once installed with 1.125" bars. The posts are fully modelled with below-ground portions included; these can be cut off if the fence is to be simply glued into place, or small holes may be drilled in the scenery to provide a stronger structure. Ten panels are included in this set, enough for 80 (or 60) scale feet of fencing.
