Product Description
These parts represent a complete set of stake pockets for a typical "Hawaiian Cane Car". These were typically mounted on Gregg and Koppel cars with three pockets per side. The end pockets included extensions with cast hooks built in so that mule, horse, oxen or bullock teams could be hooked on to pull the cars through the cane field on portable tracks not suitable for locomotives. The cars were pulled from beside the tracks to prevent injuries to the team if a car were to run away on the uneven track.
