Product Description
This sprue contains three Heavy Transport Shuttles (HTS), one E3 Space Warning and Control (SWAC) Shuttle, and two Heavy Assault Shuttles (HAS).
The Heavy Transport Shuttle is a non-combat cargo shuttle. These shuttles are usually based at colony worlds for routine utility duty, but are sometimes carried by survey ships, tugs, cargo vessels, and troop transport ships.
The Heavy Assault Shuttle is basically an HTS with the armor and ground-fire weapons of the Ground Assault Shuttle. (Notice the weapons mount under the front of the ship.)
The E3 Heavy SWAC shuttle is, like the standard E2 SWAC shuttle, used by heavy carriers to track enemy units in the area, maintain situational awareness, and provide electronic warfare support. It is more capable than the E2 but still highly vulnerable to enemy fire.
These heavy shuttles are twice the size of a standard shuttle and take up two “landing spots” on a ship’s hangar deck. The walls and roof of the internal cargo bay of each HTS or HAS can be folded flat into the bed of the shuttle, leaving space for outsized cargo such as an armored vehicle, heavy farm machinery, or even a tank.
This comb of heavy shuttles is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
