Product Description
TheWantage Tramway was a standard-guage light railway which connected the town of Wantage, Oxfordshire to the Great Western Railway at its Wantage Road Station, 2 miles away in the village of Grove. Initially horse-drawn, the Wantage Tramway Company eventually acquired 7 steam locomotives and a variety of coaches to carry passengers to and from the town. Goods traffic was carried in private-owner and main-line wagons.
