This pressed steel portable turnout is similar to those produced by Hudson and other manufacturers. It is based on photographs from the Hudson catalogue. The Baseplate needs to be clipped from the centre of the turnout framework using a sharp chisel knife blade. No other modifications are required prior to finishing. This model is designed as a two-piece scenic item. If you wish to place a model on the turnout, it works with any two-axle car in 9mm gauge with a wheelbase of 21mm or less and relatively scale flanges. This model is designed for 1:43.5 scale, but could be used in 1:45, 1:48 and 1:50 scales as well.
