Product Description
By request, an amulet for Ammut "The Devourer of the Dead", who appears near the scales in the famous Judgement scene from the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead (or as they called it, the Book of Going Forth by Day.) Ammut's job is to take out the trash by eating the heart of anyone who proves unworthy to pass through to the Afterlife.
She is part lion or leopard, hippo, and crocodile, with her overall body shape reminiscent of a sow. Intriguingly she is made of the same animals as Taweret, the birthing goddess and protectress of new life.
Viewing her in the 3D mode is particularly recommended.
