3125 Scale Fed Classic Light Survey Cruiser (CLS)

Two old-style light cruisers were converted for use as survey ships after the Federation Council voted for a massive program of exploration toward the unexplored and uninhabited coreward regions. (NCC-912 Sinai became NCC-962 Viking; NCC-924 Alaska became NCC-974 Voyager.) These continued to serve long after the specially built galactic survey cruisers (on heavy cruiser hulls) appeared. The Vulcans provided the special sensors for these ships. The fans asked for this smooth-saucer version as a classic look and for ease of adding decals.

This ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
