1:100 - MERCEDES L1500 A [PERSONNEL CARRIER]
Overview
This is a scalemodel of the German 'Mercedes L1500 A' a 1.5-ton 4x4 Personnel Carrier for 1:100 WW2 dioramas. Prooved to be very reliable and robust at the front. Widely used for transporting infantry (up to 7 people) and supplies, but less then 5000 units were build.
Features
The model is designed to be printed in 4 parts;
- The main empty vehicle.
- Loose parts : Front seats, back seats, spare wheel and one figure (German driver).
- Model is based on blueprints to maximize accuracy.
- Wheels cannot rotate.
Painting
Before painting, always degrease your model in a glass of lukewarm water and a drop of dishwashing soap (do not use a dishwasher!). Allow it to dry completely before painting.
Aplie a thin layer of paint, use 'drybrush' techniques to bring the detail alive. Paint the inside and interior parts first, before gluing the seats and figure. If you don't have a lot of experience; watch multiple 'tutorials' on youtube about painting model vehicles. You can't rush art, so be patient and take your time to finish the model ;).
