3788 Scale Klingon FD7 Fast Battlecruiser WEM

These ships were some of the earliest fast raiding cruisers. They were designed to race behind enemy lines and destroy key bases and supply convoys. The design could not stand the shock of firing four disruptors so two of them were replaced with phaser-1s. The design incorporated the anti-drone system of the D7C Command Cruiser to help fend off Kzinti drones and Kzinti or Hydran fighters while operating alone on a raid behind enemy lines upon the outbreak of a war. If committed to a raid against the Federation (until the Federation deployed drones in large numbers) or Tholians, these anti-drone racks were often loaded with some (or entirely with) type-VI drones. These ships were always first in line for any refits or improvements. Known names include Swiftsword and Swiftblade.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
