Metal TRX4 Portal Servo On Axle & 4 Link Adapter

You ask and we listen!  We've had great luck with the Nylon prints but some people prefer metal for many reasons.  Here it is!  The Traxxas Portal Servo On Axle adapter in metal. 

You'll need secure the servo to the adapter with screws and nuts, the M3 threading didn't come out right when we tried to get the prints with it.  

Same principle as our Nylon design just a lot less material.  Connects to panhard for side support, straddles existing 3 link mount, and makes a 4th link slot on the side.  

We suggest using one long screw through the links but you can also try and squeeze a couple nuts in the middle slot, should be just enough room if you're patient.

Just like the plastic its NOT intended for use with the stock TRX4 skid.  That skid lacks a 4th link slot and the motor takes up a lot of the room a 4th link will.  We HAVE however had some crafty DIYers make it work with the stock skid and chassis.  Not a plug n play affair though.

Shapeways is proud of their metal prints, we only make a few bucks off each one.  We usually see about 8-10 days  from order to ship with standard options, but can't guarantee anything faster than what Shapeways quotes.  Our hope is the more we use the services the quicker they reduce pricing.  It's a quality, thick, and sturdy piece.  We wore out a few dremel  heads working with the prototype.  

Shapeways states a +/- 5% tolerance so some minor sanding may be necessary. We've done a lot of metal parts and shapeways usually nails the dimensions. The 20 day lead time is usually about 2x what it takes. In all of our orders we've only had one take longer than 10 days from order to ship.
