3125 Scale Hydran Horsemaster Gunboat/PF Tender CV

The Hydrans are an unusual species that live on the far side of the Klingon Empire, along the edge of the galaxy. They are enemies of the Klingons and Lyrans, and were conquered by those empires at one point, only to drive the invaders out decades later. Hydrans breathe methane and live on cold type-S gas giants on silicate continents floating on liquid methane oceans.

While the Pegasus Gunboat/PF Tender was more effective, those ships were available in very limited supply. The Hydrans turned to the easy to build and cheap Horseman Light Cruiser (already made obsolete by the improved Mongol Medium Cruiser) as there were plenty of surplus Horseman hulls available. (These were, in fact, converted into endless variants including cargo ships, carriers, escorts, commando ships, and scouts.) The ship was unpopular with Hydran captains as it had no fighters.  The fighters and heavy weapons had been replaced by the facilities to operate six Harrier gunboats and by the special scout sensors needed to find targets for gunboat strikes. Known names include Temeraire, Euralyus, Naiad, and Sceptre.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
