Product Description
Although more traditionally interpreted as having a serpentine form, Kebehwet is also named as the daughter of the jackal god Anubis. There is a complex web of connections between serpents, purification, and jackals. By the goddess's own request, I made this second amulet of her wearing the arguably more personable face of a jackal as she pours a refreshing libation of her cool, purifying waters. It is a motif which finds later echoes in the common presence of Anubis pouring libations on ancient Nubian offering tables.
