The model of the Talaxian Fighter Type 1, first briefly appeared as Rakonian Fighters in VOY: "Dreadnought", before it was featured more prominently in VOY: "Basics, Part 1". Here it most probably was a physical model. In VOY: "Homestead", however, it was replaced by a very similar looking CGI model, that was kitbashed using parts of the Bajoran Interceptor. This later incarnation (Type 2) tried to mimic the look of the first. In both occasions we can roughly estimate the fighter's size, by either compare it to the USS Voyager, or Neelix's Shuttle. Both seem to be about 50m in length (±10m) and i think they were actually meant to be the very same type (Maybe the original filming model went missing, or it was deemed cheaper to use a CGI model). I tried to replicate the look by also chopping up the model of the Bajoran Interceptor in my shop.
