Axle Mounted Servo adapter for the Redcat Racing Portal Axles found on the Gen 8 RTR, Gen 8 PACK, and the Gen7 Portal conversion kit. We haven't tested this adapter on the metal portal housings yet, just the plastic ones.
This adapter adds about 33g of unsprung mass down low. Combined with weight of the servo it'll greatly improve your COG as well as totally eliminate bump steer and axle swing/sway. You have to convert to a 4 Link setup with this.
With V1.1 we moved the servo ears over 1mm to get it better centered. Same design otherwise.
With V1.2 we widened the screw holes a bit, added some room for bigger servos, and minor aesthetic update.
You'll need
3 x M2x~12mm screws for the diff cover/housing.
4 X M3x~18mm screws and 4 x M3 nuts to secure the servo to the adapter
1 X M3x~30mm screw and 1 X M3 nut for the upper links

Shapeways is proud of their metal prints. We only make a few bucks off each one but compared to the cost of some brass pieces it's not a bad deal. We usually see about 8-10 days to ship with standard options but can't guarantee anything faster than what Shapeways quotes.
Shapeways states a +/- 5% tolerance so some minor sanding may be necessary. We've done a lot of metal parts and shapeways usually nails the dimensions. The 20 day lead time is usually about 2x what it takes. In all of our orders we've only had one take longer than 10 days from order to ship.
