3125 Scale Hydran X-Ship Cavalier-X Carrier (CAVX)

The Hydrans are an unusual species that live on the far side of the Klingon Empire, along the edge of the galaxy. They are enemies of the Klingons and Lyrans and were conquered by those empires at one point, only to drive the invaders out decades later. Hydrans breathe methane and live on cold type-S gas giants on silicate continents floating on liquid methane oceans.

The largest of the Hydran X-carriers, the Cavalier-X carried a mixed group of six fast heavy fighters and nine X-fighters. This unusual arrangement was because of the shortage of X-fighters and the ready supply of already-built heavy fighters.

Built two years after the end of the General War and envisioned as a heavy raider, the first ship confronted the Inter-Stellar Concordium and conducted a raid through the Inter-Stellar Concordium cordon to destroy a Lyran base being set up in an area that would have threatened the Hydran capital with X-ship raids. The ships fought during the Andromedan War, rushing to attack any Andromedan base detected by scouts. The ship is sometimes called an Interdiction Carrier. Known names include Returned Sovereign and Swift Revenge.

This ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
