3788 Scale Andromedan Conquistador Light Cruiser

Andromedans are an aggressive empire from the M31 Andromedan Galaxy. Their technology is different from that of ships in our galaxy. They use tractor-repulsor beams to rip enemy ships apart, displacement devices to teleport their own ships or enemy ones, and weapons that are similar to a phaser-2. They do not use shields, but instead use power absorbers which capture the energy of enemy weapons and cycle it back into their own systems and weapons. Larger Andromedan ships (motherships) carry small frigate/destroyer sized ships internally and launch them as needed in combat.

This smaller mothership can carry a single satellite ship. Conquistadors were built to carry one medium-sized satellite ship [e.g., Cobra], but some carried one Viper at first. This was apparently due to a surplus of Vipers due to the demand for the first Cobras by larger ships. As with all light cruisers, these were a low-cost way to cover smaller assignments that did not require the attention of an Intruder-class heavy cruiser. Known Federation reporting names include Montefeltro, Cortez, and DeSoto.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
