Product Description
Set of 2 Duo-Therm Brisk Air type air conditioners for RVs and locomotive cabs. Matches the style used by Amtrak on their F69PH-AC test units, rebuilt E60MAs and some AEM-7s. This version does not include tie-down straps.
To install, first cut each unit from the sprue and file/sand away any remnants. If adding the part to a decorated model, prepaint it prior to installation. Carefully apply small drops or a thin bead of cyanoacrylate (CA) around the bottom edge of the part, then set in in place on the roof of the model. Refer to prototype photos for exact placement.
Note: for models with a curved roof profile, it may be necessary to make a mounting plate from a thin piece of styrene sheet. Cut it to match the dimensions of the air conditioner, cement in place on the roof, then carefully file the surface flat and level. Now the air conditioner can be mounted as above.
