This is the Crystalline Entity from TNG "Datalore", "Silicon Avatar" and "Inheritance". As this wouldn't survive polishing, this is only available in non-polished materials. I have printed one of these in Smooth Fine Detail Plastic through the "Print it anyway" program. I have thickened up the arms slightly since then to make sure it meets the min. requirements. It looks great and is more durable than you might think in this material. But still don't use too much force or the arms will break. Obviously, it will look best when printed in Clear Ultra Fine Detail Plastic. However, regardless of the material you choose to print this, always treat this like a raw egg when handling it. You have been warned!
