There are two distinct variants of the Klingon D5 Cruiser that appeared in "Star Trek: Enterprise". First there was the Klingon tanker seen in the episode ENT: "Marauders". According to Malcolm Reed, "little more than a freighter" with a crew of only 12. That CGI model was later altered to become the D5 Battlecruiser. Most obviously the shape of the "wings" were changed from a trapeze to what looks like a "Z" together with the nacelles. The later are moved further back this way. Also the neck was made a little longer as also the "head" was stretched a bit and now doesn't have any visible windows on it. The deuterium tanks were removed and the whole underside of the bow was changed and instead two turret mounted disruptor cannons were added (which, as a sidenote, against common beliefe can not rotate sideways. They can just go up and down. Take a close look at the CG model and you can see it, don't listen to what they say here.)

This model is basically the tanker variant reverted to what i think an original Cruiser variant looked like. I believe this is a lighter variant of the D5 model line that shares some parts with the Battlecruiser in order to make supply and reapairing those ships easier for the shipyards. The tanker variant is a further model based on the Light Cruiser spaceframe to supply D5 fleets. To create the Light Cruiser, i removed the deuterium tanks and added two disruptors to the underside but not on a turret mount but simply sticking out of the sides of the further protruding underside. Thus making it even more distinguishable from the Battlecruiser.

Now, there is the question of how long is it? As usual with Klingon ships there are many "official", "half-official" and fan-based sizes around. Eaglemoss used a length of 155m for their model for the later D5 Battlecruiser. But on YouTube, Trekyards confirmed that the tanker model was designed and scaled to a length of 155m and the later (longer) Battlecruiser was used at a length of about 210m. This can easily be proven, because the models were saved in scale to each other. When loading the Battlecruiser into the same scene as the NX-01 model (225m) , the Battlecruiser is indeed around 210m long. If i scale both ships so that the shared parts are the same size and take the bigger one as 210m, the smaller almost exactly measures 155m. It seems as if Eaglemoss has confused the two designs and used the length from the Tanker for the Battlecruiser.
