3788 Scale WYN Light Tactical Transport, Klingon

The WYN Star Cluster stands as a huge beacon at the crossroads of the galaxy. Marking the point where the Klingon, Lyran, and Kzinti borders meet, the Cluster itself was long considered uninhabitable. Surrounded by a dense cloud of highly radioactive dust, it was assumed that the entire Cluster was saturated with deadly radiation. All residents of the WYN Cluster are immigrants from other species and empires.

As with all light tactical transports (LTTs), the Orca Light Tactical Transport is a war cruiser hull modified to carry one pod for fleet support. As the WYNs planned a two-pod tug on a heavy cruiser hull, but it wasn’t ready in time for the War of Return, this was all the Usurper fleet had for fast cargo support.  It had two sets of pod-docking stations, enabling it to handle both Kzinti pods and Klingon pods (which meant it could also take Klingon pods used by the Lyrans or the Lyran Democratic Republic). It would have been able to operate Seltorian or Romulan cargo pods, for that matter. Within the Cluster, existing freighters and civilian tugs could handle the placement, or repair, of the Cluster’s network of bases quite adequately. The Orca LTT was armed well enough to fight if it had to operate outside the Cluster on trade missions. This miniature has a Klingon pod.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
