Alxasaurus elesitaiensis, the "Alxa Desert Lizard" live 100-110 million years ago in what is now Mongolia. This strange fuzzy dinosaur, a small
therizinosaur, was 4 meters in length and weighed almost half a ton. Although some species grew to
tyrannosaur sizes, all were herbivorous. The beaked theropod was equipped with large sickle shaped claws and distantly related to the
raptors.
