The studio model of the Kazon Rider could be modified with a canopy like part, covering the bridge module of the Raider. This way the producers of "Star Trek: Voyager" could use the same studio model for the larger Raider and the much smaller Fighter. This smaller vessel was seen in many episodes, especially in the early seasons, when Voyager still was in or near Kazon territory. Like all their ships, these ships were originally built by the Trabe, the former masters of the Kazon.
