Product Description
This is a snap-together kit that makes a pair of eclipse fenders, much like the ones used in Los Angeles and San Francisco. These are basically plastic versions of the Ed Suydam fenders with an optional bracket set to make a lowered fender on a tall car. They snap together in seconds.
Be gentle when assmbling as the parts are somewhat fragile. You may have to just slightly open up the holes in the carbody mount to get the pivot arm shaft to snap in. Don't over do it or your fender will not stay in the raised position.
Two types of mounting bracket are included, one that glues directly under the anticlimber of your car, and another that is meant for taller cars where some brass rod can be used between the upper and lower mounts to achieve the correct height.
To adjust the finished height of the horizontal section just use a dremel or gently file material off the tops of the arms that point inward toward the car until the desired "droop" is achieved. Add some scale chains to support the sides if desired.
