The USS Curry NCC-42254 was another part of the "Frankenstein fleet", a bunch of kitbashed starships made from model kits to create background ships for DS9 at a low cost which were never meant to be seen up close. This particular one was made from an Excelsior Class kit with Nacelles including the pylons taken from a much larger Miranda Class (USS Reliant) kit. I modelled this by rearranging the parts from the corresponding 3D models in my shop and used an Eaglemoss model for reference. The magazine that comes with that model states an overall length of 380m. Nevertheless, when i keep the Excelsior parts the same size as the other Excelsior Class models in my shop i can only get to a length of 360m at most. ex-astris-scientia.org lists this ship with 272m, but this is due to the fact that Bernd doesn't accept the huge, oversized nacelles and scaled them the correct size relative to an Excelsior. Thus making the ship significantly shorter.
